Rebecca Morris

Rebecca Morris is a New York Times bestselling author of eight books, including the true crime bestseller Boy Missing: The Search for Kyron Horman and Ted and Ann – The Mystery of a Missing Child and Her Neighbor Ted Bundy.


A recognized crime expert, Rebecca appears frequently in true crime documentaries and on national television, offering insight into high-profile cases. Her upcoming book, An Imminent Risk: The Short Lives and Preventable Deaths of Charlie and Braden Powell and The Massive Failure of a State’s Child Welfare System, revisits the heartbreaking case at the heart of If I Can’t Have You (co-authored with Gregg Olsen).


Before turning to full-time authorship, Rebecca was an award-winning journalist with NPR, New York Times Radio, Bloomberg Radio, CNN, and other outlets in New York, Portland, and Seattle.


She speaks at true crime conferences, bookstores, and libraries, and leads writing workshops through the Seattle Public Library. A mentor to emerging writers, Rebecca lives and writes in Seattle.
